Betsy Ross
Situated on a quiet residential street in the eclectic Capitol Hill area, the Betsy Ross condominium community is one of eight 1928 buildings in the 1700 block of 17th Avenue East created by Seattle architects to demonstrate residential building designs from around the world. Together with the Tudor and art deco designs of the other buildings on the block, the Betsy Ross's colonial revival style tells the story of Seattle's diverse architectural roots and creates a neighborhood atmosphere unlike any other in the city.
The Betsy Ross's simple style is characterized by a central multi-paned arched window that towers above the main entrance, and the slender classical columns that support the porch above. The architectural integrity of this building has been well preserved since the 1920s, with only minor slight changes to the windows
